Ethical commitment

We have an ethical code that sets out the essential guidelines for carrying out our mission and for how we relate to society and to our users and beneficiaries. This code is set out in a code of good practice for each professional category and for the different areas of activity, and in an ethics channel that aims to prevent violations of the conduct rules by any member of the Foundation, as well as by collaborators and third parties.

Transparency and good governance

Once again, we maintain the accreditation for good practices in transparency and good governance awarded by Fundación Lealtad, an independent, non-profit institution that audits the country's leading entities and NGOs.

Ethics channel

Since 2018, we have had an ethics channel designed to prevent violations of internal or external codes of conduct that may be committed by any member of the Foundation, as well as by collaborators and third parties associated with the entity.

In the context of the implementation of the new criminal legislation, the Foundation is implementing a Crime Prevention Management System (COMPLIANCE) that advises entities to make available to employees, as well as to all persons with whom it interacts, a means to submit inquiries and express concerns about matters in which the Foundation, or a person integral to it, does not act with ethical standards, violates legal norms, does not respect the criteria of the Foundation's Code of Ethics, or suspects that certain actions may constitute illegalities in the conduct of management or the Foundation.

For this reason, we have created the ETHICAL CHANNEL, which aims to help us prevent violations of internal conduct rules or external regulations that may be committed by any member of the Foundation, as well as by collaborators and third parties who interact with the Foundation.

By clicking here or by writing to the address "Ethics Channel" Fundació Pere Tarrés, Numància 149-151, 08029 Barcelona, you can report any violation of which you may be aware.

Please be advised that you may choose to make the communication anonymously or by identifying yourself. Failure to identify yourself means that you will not be able to be informed of the outcome of the inquiry or complaint.

Here you will find all the necessary information to learn about its purposes, your obligations and duties, as well as its operation.

Responsible purchasing and quality

We avoid financial and contractual relationships with activities that violate human rights or conflict with the Foundation's mission and values, and we strive to choose services and products from social enterprises, environmentally friendly organizations, or those that provide social and cultural value.

To ensure this responsibility, we implement procedures to control our financial management and undergo an annual financial audit, as well as a quality management audit in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard and the Information Security Management System (ISMS), implemented in accordance with the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard. The Faculty of Social Education and Social Work, in addition to the ISO system, holds certification for its Internal Quality Assurance System from AQU Catalunya.

We also take actions to assess and ensure the satisfaction of the needs of our service users, listening to their requirements and supporting them through periodic surveys of our programs, services, facilities, and training, which allow us to reinforce the strengths of our work and improve on its weaknesses.

Audits and controls

To ensure the sustainability and accountability of our organization, the budget is constantly monitored. In addition, systematic policies and procedures for controlling economic management are applied regarding the evaluation and authorization of supplier contracting, purchasing, invoicing, and payment, following criteria of economic sustainability, quality, and ethics. Each year, we undergo an audit of our accounts.

Identity

In 2023, we approved a new Equality and Work-Life Balance Plan, a strategy aimed at achieving equal treatment and opportunities for women and men at the Foundation. This plan of measures, which will be rolled out through 2027, aims to eliminate stereotypes and obstacles that make it difficult for women to access certain jobs and to promote actions that encourage their inclusion, the retention and development of their professional careers, as well as achieving a balanced participation of women and men in all occupations and at all levels of responsibility.

Occupational Risk Prevention

Until mid-2022, the work of the Occupational Safety and Health Service continued to be heavily focused on the preventive and informational management of the pandemic, especially through online sessions or by conducting theoretical drills. The online methodology has allowed us to increase training in occupational risk prevention, as well as in aspects related to COVID-19. We have also digitized health surveillance processes. With the introduction of remote work, we have provided ergonomic and safety guidelines to people who work remotely part of the time.

Institutional Commitment Statement to the Protection of Children

The protection of children must be an institutional obligation for social organizations. That is why, from the Pere Tarrés Foundation, we accept the challenge of making this visible and commit to continuously building a child protection and welfare policy (child and adolescent protection policy) that will guide all relevant aspects of activities for children in which our organization participates.
