Since 2018 the Pere Tarrés Foundation has been supporting young migrant people who arrive in Catalonia alone. The aim is to improve their quality of life and expectations for the future.

HOW WE HELP THEM

ACCOMMODATION FOR EMPLOYMENT INCLUSION

We offer the young people flats, which we acquire with the cooperation of organisations and individuals. Here, we give them personal and professional support and help them find work, which they need because they are of legal age and have lost the guardianship and protection of the public authorities.

While they are staying in the flats, the young people train and acquire tools and skills related to employment and personal development with the support of a team of educators, who guide them through the difficulties that can arise in their everyday lives.

FINANCIAL DONATION

2 migrant children can receive psychopedagogical care for a month.

With €500:

5 young people can do an employment training workshop for 3 months.

WORK CONTRACTS

So that they can get into the labour market and renew their residency permits, the current Foreigners’ Regulations oblige young migrants who are of legal age to have a full-time employment contract for one year. That is why we need the support of companies which can offer them work.

FLAT RENTAL

The Pere Tarrés Foundation seeks flats for rent to be shared by 3 or 4 young adults. A team of educators supports them and monitors their process of becoming independent.
