Origin of the campaign

The "A Course Full of Opportunities" campaign launches at the start of the school year, a key moment to restart educational and social support for the children and young people who need it most. From the Pere Tarrés Foundation, we want this initiative to ensure that children and adolescents in vulnerable situations can start the school year with more support, greater stability, and more opportunities to grow on equal terms. The campaign is part of the educational reinforcement work carried out every afternoon at our centers with educators and volunteers. With school supplies or initial support at the start of the school year, our goal is to reinforce an educational and social environment that helps prevent inequality and sustain the daily lives of many children. As explained in the campaign itself, the centers offer a safe space each afternoon where children can access a healthy snack, practice basic hygiene habits, get academic support, have some playtime and sports, and receive emotional support. This comprehensive response is especially important for children and young people in situations of vulnerability and at risk of social exclusion.

Methodology

The campaign's methodology is based on daily socio-educational support at our centers. Specifically, the service runs every afternoon from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, using an intervention model that combines educational support, personal care, leisure activities, and emotional support. This work is carried out thanks to an interdisciplinary team made up of educators, social workers and social integrators, psychologists, and volunteers, which allows for a comprehensive response to the needs of children and young people and also enables work with their families.

Result

The result of this initiative is that thousands of children and young people can start the school year with more tools, more support, and more opportunities to continue their educational journey under better conditions. The campaign aims to make true equality of educational opportunities possible. In this sense, the project not only addresses basic needs each afternoon but also builds a stable environment that helps educate, act, and transform in the face of the growing inequalities affecting children and young people.
