To ensure equality of opportunities, the Pere Tarrés Foundation carries out different projects based on sport. This is a powerful socialisation and education tool and a way of integrating children and young people at risk of social exclusion.
SPORTS GRANTS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
Registration of young people in vulnerable situations for sports clubs and activities (marathons, races, sports centres, swimming pools, etc.). Some young people with good football skills need a grant to register with a federation team (registration + monthly fee).
ACTIVITIES FOR FAMILIES
Activities to promote sport among the families of children and young people helped by the Pere Tarrés Foundation in order to improve their physical and emotional welfare, to acquire healthy habits and to prevent adult and child obesity (gymnasium, yoga, zumba, etc.).
IMPROVING SPORTS FACILITIES
Some of the socioeducational centres affiliated to the Pere Tarrés Foundation have an outdoor playground for games and sporting activities. Some of these need renovating (surfacing, organisation and painting) to improve the area and adapt it as a sports court.
MULTISPORTS SUMMER CAMPS
As part of the “No child without a holiday” campaign, grants are given to children and young people in vulnerable situations so that they can also go on summer camps, one of which is based on sport. For a week, children and young people do different team sports and acquire healthy habits and educational values.
