Origin of the campaign

The "School Camp Scholarships" campaign was launched with the aim of ensuring that children's right to education and leisure extends beyond the classroom and does not depend on each family's economic situation. At the Foundation, we are driving this project to support those households that cannot cover part or all of the cost of the school-organized camps during the academic year. The origin of the initiative is clear: to prevent any child from being excluded from such a meaningful educational and communal experience for economic reasons.

Impact

The impact of the campaign goes far beyond a one-time financial aid. School camps provide essential values and learning experiences for the holistic development of children, such as cohesion, camaraderie, discovery, coexistence, learning, autonomy, and contact with nature. Moreover, school testimonials highlight that for many students in vulnerable situations, this is probably their only opportunity to go on a school trip, since outside of school they do not usually participate in leisure activities. Therefore, the scholarship not only provides an outing, but makes possible an educational, emotional, and relational experience that often becomes one of the most important memories of the school year.

Methodology

The campaign's methodology is based on awarding scholarships to children from families who cannot afford the cost of school camps. The Foundation channels these grants so that schools can guarantee the participation of the most vulnerable students in three-day stays with their class. The campaign outlines different levels of support: with €120, a child can attend a three-day school camp; with €600, five children can go; and with €1,200, ten children can go. In this way, the project directly links the solidarity of individuals and companies with a very specific and easily transformative need.

Result

The results shown by the campaign correspond to the year 2025 and demonstrate the project's reach: 35 schools participated and 417 children were awarded scholarships so they could attend school camps with their classmates. These figures confirm that this is an initiative with a real and tangible impact, transforming an experience that could be beyond the reach of many families into a shared educational opportunity. The schools' testimonials reinforce this outcome and explain that, without this support, many children would not have been able to have such an enriching and necessary experience.
