The Pare Artigues holiday home is located in Planoles, in the county of Ripollès, in the province of Girona. It lies in the midst of nature, surrounded by meadows and woods right in the middle of the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees. It is an ideal place for going on hikes and discovering nature.

It is located in the middle of the road through the Collada de Tosses mountain pass, with exceptional natural sites that include the entire Freser river valley and Núria sanctuary. With panoramic views from the top of Puigmal and the whole Noucreus mountain circle, this little town becomes a place of rest and repose, where various adventure sport activities can also be partaken in. 

The house is designed to host groups from leisure centres, for summer, autumn and weekend getaways; for groups of friends, organisations and companies that hold meetings and celebrations. 

It contains rooms with 8 to 20 beds, a kitchen, a dining room and a large games room. Outside, where the landscape of trees, bushes and flowers surrounds the house, there is a pool, football pitch, gazebo and and garden.

Routes and itineraries

Go on a hike from Planoles, such as the route of the chamois (a kind of antelope) and groundhogs to the Collet de les Barraques, just 45 minutes away; to Vena spring, 1 hour and 30 minutes away; to Dòrria peak, 2 hours and 45 minutes away; to Covil summit, 2 hours and 45 minutes away; to Volta del Tossal , 2 hour and 45 minutes away; visit Romanesque architecture in the valley of Rigard, 4 hours and 45 minutes away; follow the mine route, 3 hours. 

On a mountain bike from Planoles you can also take different routes, such as the Planoles - Font de la Serra - Les Casetes route, about 3 km long. 

The Capçaleres del Ter i del Freser Natural Park, in the county of El Ripollès, cannot be missed. It is an example of the most eastern high-mountain landscape of the Catalan axial Pyrenees, the mountain groups that shape the sources of the Ter and Freser rivers. 

Other key sites are the Monastery of Santa Maria de Ripoll, a Benedictine monastery founded in 880 with a remarkable entrance, basilica and cloister. 

At the Casa de les Papallones in Planoles, you can visit the collection of butterflies, beetles, fossils and minerals. 

Forty minutes away lies Vall de Núria, a high-mountain ski resort located in the Pyrenees. It can be reached by zip line and offers a wide choice of recreational activities. 

The castle of Mataplana, in the municipality of Gombrèn in the county of Ripollès, has been catalogued as a cultural asset of national interest. The space is an archaeological site, excavated since 1986, formed by a castle from the 12th and 13th centuries. 

In the medicinal plant garden, located in Gombrèn, there are over 250 plants. 

And Sant Joan de les Abadesses, where you can find the monastery, the Abbot palace, El Molí Petit ecomuseum and other interesting sites.
