Discovering Tibidabo is a magical experience, but if you have visited it during your stay in Barcelona, there is one detail that you can not miss if you want to live the park from start to finish. It starts long before reaching the attractions: the best way to go to Tibidabo is by the blue tram, known in the city as tram blau. This is an historic tram, the perfect starting point for a day full of emotions, you'll see!
The blau tram is a tram that runs along the Avenida del Tibidabo and connects the Kennedy square with the Tibidabo funicular. This small blue railway, opened in 1901, is a living witness of another era, in which cars and buses had not yet conquered the city. It means you automatically move to the past, and not just for the tram, but its route: over 1,200 meters of climbing between modernist mansions, creating the perfect scenario for another century. Therefore, it is not for those who are in a hurry: the tram blau is perfect for those that take things easy and know that what matters is not the goal, but the way.
With a maximum speed of 14 km / hour, it invites you to enjoy the panorama and relax as you discover all the secrets hidden in the Avinguda del Tibidabo. You can reach Kennedy Square, the starting point of the line, in many ways: the tourist bus has a specific stop, Tram Blau - Tibidabo; L7 railway also stops here (Av Tibidabo); and by bus, you can reach it by V15, 22, 58, 73, 75, 131 and 196 lines.
