Do you have your plans ready to spend this new summer in Barcelona? Have you already found a hostel in the city from where you can enjoy all its charm? Perhaps, on the contrary, you have not had time to plan it yet. Or maybe you come to visit during the hottest months of the year. In any case, we wanted to prepare a few ideas that could help you organize a few days of rest and leisure.
Dreamy nights in summer
Summer nights in Barcelona can be especially magical. The combination of perfect temperature and the sea breeze, coupled with the nightlife of the city creates a unique atmosphere. Taking advantage of this, you may want to enjoy a night visit to La Pedrera with the "La Pedrera Night Experience" tour, in which you can enjoy in a unique way the different spaces of La Pedrera such as the patios of Passeig de Gràcia and Provença, the Espai Gaudí (in the attic) and the Roof. Finishing with a magical audiovisual exhibition on the roof of one of the most famous buildings in the city.
Another proposal, free in this case, is a visit to the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, where every evening you can enjoy beautiful light and colour shows with elaborate choreography. The summertime is from 21.30-22.30 and, in addition, you can enjoy special shows on 21.22 and 23 September.
Summer festivals in Barcelona
Another of the summer attractions in Barcelona are the music festivals that take place in the city during the hottest months. You can find world-class festivals such as Sónar 2019, which takes place between July 18 and 20 with a strong tradition of electronic music.
Another very interesting option is the famous "Jardins de Pedralbes" festival, held between June 5 and July 15. Offering a combination of gardens, food, drink and the visit of excellent national and international artists such as Izal or Diego el Cigala.
A cultural visit?
And without forgetting the lovers of cinema, theatre, art and culture in general; we want to mention the impressive Grec Festival of Barcelona. Celebrated, like every year, at the Teatre Grec del Montjuïc, it offers, in this 43rd edition, a wide variety of activities to attend. The so-called "most international festival in Barcelona" allows us to participate in 29 theatre activities, 15 hybrid stage acts, 28 music shows, 15 dance events, 5 circus activities and 2 cinema projections. In addition to presenting activities aimed at young people and others prepared for the whole family. It even prepares parallel activities throughout the city.
You can enjoy a total of 94 shows and 436 functions distributed between June 26 and July 31.
