5 secret squares of Barcelona you must enjoy
Plaça de Sant Felip Neri
Hidden in the Gothic Quarter, a few meters from the Cathedral of Barcelona, we find this wonderful treasure that survives on anonymity surrounded by Renaissance buildings and governed by the baroque church with shrapnel from a bomb during the civil war. Its fountain with octagonal base with white and green tiles increases its legend of quiet square. You'll fall in love!
Plaça dels Traginers
We do not leave the Gothic Quarter to discover the Traginers. Bohemian air, terraces that appear during the warm months and the Roman city wall as a backdrop only serve to stoke its legend of a meeting place for artists, neighbors and anyone who wants to enjoy its environment. Do not forget that we are a few meters from Via Laietana and just over 3 minutes walk from Port Vell
Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia
Gràcia, old municipality now annexed to Barcelona, has many squares full of terraces, shops, children and tradition. A clear example of the essence of the neighborhood is found in the Plaça de la Vila. A large square that recalls the last independent district with the Clock Tower in the center and old town hall, now a district headquarters. A perfect place to enjoy vermouth and be part of the life of Gràcia.
Plaça de la Barceloneta
Although Barceloneta is a neighborhood taken by tourism, there are corners that resist, as the Gaulish village of Asterix and Obelix, and maintain their essence. This is the case of the Plaza de la Barceloneta, which keeps its marine air and offers visitors a resting place under the watchful eye of the Parish of Sant Miquel del Port, baroque style. An excellent place to go after bathing and strolling along the beaches of Barcelona.
