Parks to practice sport in Barcelona

Between gym and gym, many people decide to enjoy the outdoors in the city from time to time and even turn the world into their own gym. In Barcelona there are hundreds of parks to practice sport! Therefore, you may want to complete your workouts from the fitness room in one of the parks of Barcelona or just prefer to save a few euros and enjoy nature while improving your physical health. This list of parks for sport in Barcelona will be very useful! 

5 Parks to practice sport in Barcelona

1. Running in Collserola!

The choice by many of the residents of the neighborhoods of Mundet, Vall d'Hebron, Penitents, Vallcarca, Roquetas or Trinitat Nova, and many others too! On weekends, Collserola is filled with walkers, runners and cyclists, but also a perfect place to practice any other day: Forat del Vent, Carretera de les Aigües, Baixada de Sant Medir...

2. Tai chi in Ciutadella Park

Here you will not only have the beach near —in the promenade there are training areas to enjoy all year— but hundreds of meters of land to practice yoga, running, playing pingpong and even practice tai chi and chi kung every Tuesday from 12 to 13 hours.  

3. Basketball in España Industrial

One of the parks for sport in Barcelona is the España Industrial (Industrial Spain), where skateboarders and basketball players get together to have fun with their favorite sport InEspaña Industrial, the sport always have a basketball team! They even have their own association in the neighborhood: the StreetBall Barcelona Sants, where everyone with good attitude is welcome to play for free.  

4. Climb Barcelona in Montjuic!

Do you know La Foixarda? Because it is the largest public climbing wall in Europe. You can climb day, or night, because it is illuminated. Is it far away from your place? The stone walls in Turull path, in the Park Güell, will make you enjoy

5. Yoga in Barceloneta… Or maybe volleyball?

We start with a good yoga session to connect with our environment in the sands of Barceloneta. The sessions cost three or five euros and it is becoming a phenomenon thanks to the program Troba't b of the council! Then, volleyball nets in Nova Icària will call you between the sound of the waves and the music of the bars.

And remember, there are a lot of places to practice sport in Barcelona. Don't forget Guinardó, Turó del Putxet or Parc de Pedralbes? You also have Parc de Trinitat, Joan Miró, Gardens of La Maternitat or Rosa de Luxemburg for residents of Horta. Let's try it, the third day it will be difficult to quit, you'll see!
