Best beaches 20 minutes from Barcelona

You and your friends are tired of Barceloneta, Nova Icària and the other beaches of Barcelona? Do you want to take advantage of these last few weeks of good weather a few minutes from the center of Barcelona? If you think you are already late, hurry up and visit some of the beaches that we recommend, or leave them for the next summer to enjoy the Mediterranean in Catalonia.

5 best beaches 20 minutes from Barcelona that you can not miss

Around Barcelona there are many options that prevent us from having to make a long trip to the Costa Brava or Costa Daurada and will let us enjoy the day connecting with public transport (buses and trains, for example).

El Garraf Beach (Sitges)

Without getting closer to l'Ametlla de Mar or Cap de Creus, Platja del Garraf, in Sitges is one of the most visited during the summer. There you can enjoy the area of white houses of fishermen (Casitas del Garraf) that have been rehabilitated in order to provide a traditional image accessible by public transport.

Castelldefels Beach (Barcelona)

Between the Llobregat delta and the Garraf, the coast of Castelldefels offers fine sand and calm waters in two very different environments between day and night: by day, fun is family and friends; in the night, the coast is full of good vibes and party until late in the morning.

Sitges beach

In Sitges, in addition to the Platja del Garraf, we find a coast with much more to offer; it is Sitges Beach, and its great advantage is that, because of its proximity to the city, this beach keeps all the services you could imagine and more. 100% recommendable.

Ocata Beach

Nice, long and quiet are some of the advantages that make Ocata a highly recommended beach. An excellent location, accessible by bus, train and private car, a family atmosphere and one of the best urban beaches near Barcelona space.

Vilassar de mar Beaches

In Maresme area, Vilassar also offers several interesting options between Ponent, Astillero and Almadrava with low occupancy, golden sand without promenade (cut by train lines in the style of the coast of Badalona). It is common to see surfers in search of a good wave. These are good options if we want to go far from Barcelona for a few hours maintaining a quality more than acceptable for swimming and fun. Do you think there is something missing in this list that is not more than 20 minutes from Barcelona? Can you think of any other beach?
