The CON RED project The virtual community against violence towards immigrant children and teenagers without a social support network www.peretarres.org/daphneconred The CON RED Project was set up in 2000 to find answers to the many questions posed by professionals in light of a new phenomenon taking place at the end of the 1990s on the streets of major European cities: unaccompanied migrant minors. Consequently, 2001 saw the first phase of the project in which university colleges and social intervention organisations from Spain, Belgium, Denmark, France and Switzerland took part as members. The outcome of this analysis was the publication of an initial report and Best Practices document in March 2002. The following are the results of the second phase, carried out in 2003 and 2004. This new stage saw the completion of a comparative study of the situation with new aims and with elements of greater direct repercussions to benefit migrant minors, the group of people at whom the project is aimed.
In May 2004, the European Training Seminar was held in Barcelona, aimed at professionals who work with the minors and the trainers of these professionals, and the Minutes containing the contributions from experts and participants were published. All of the materials created regarding the CON RED Project that are of interest for social action have been compiled on this CD-ROM. |
