Coll de Montalegre - La Conreria - Cartoixa
Approximate length: 1.5 km.
Difficulty: low.
Total time: 1 h.
This itinerary follows reforestation pathways and electricity towers, and so is not very picturesque. If we consider that until 1994 all this was a leafy pine forest, we can see the disastrous results that a fire can cause. But the view of the Monastery makes up for everything. You must remember that the monastery cannot be visited, and you can only go to mass on Sundays at half past eleven in the church outside. This may be a good time to take a stroll.
Take the GR 92 by the Camí del Seminari: when you reach the junction, leave the track and continue by the path that rises to the left and immediately reaches the crest line. The GR goes on to the right and the itinerary goes down towards the left. You soon find a junction: continue to the left, always going downwards. You then get to a track coming from La Conreria. From here, continue along the path that heads towards the electrical line. Go down to the right. At the next junction, take the left-hand path, take a couple of turnings and when you reach another path that goes on towards the right below the electricity tower, take another few turns until reaching a path towards some ruins, and you will reach the door of the Monastery.
If there is time, you can take a look at the Font de Sant Bru (Sant Bru Fountain), or The Little Birds Fountain. Go on down by the road and, after rounding a bend, leave the road and continue towards the right over a flat area with a small house. Go past this and continue along a path that skirts the right of a stream. At the end, go down through the brambles until you reach the stream, where you find the fountain.
