A great place for educating

The hostel at La Conreria is an educational venue geared towards nursery, primary and secondary schools, youth clubs, scout and church groups and educational organisations. That means that its facilities are suitable for a wide range of educational activities including school trips, excursions, festivals such as Halloween and Carnival, study groups, exam preparation and doing special school projects. Its educational amenities include classrooms, blackboards, lecture halls, meeting and events rooms fitted with projectors and sound equipment, sports courts, a swimming pool and shared rooms. La Conreria also has adapted accommodation and private rooms with full bathrooms for education group leaders.

La Conreria is also home to the Escola de Cooperació i Solidaritat de Catalunya (Catalan Cooperation and Solidarity School), a pioneering centre in Spain which promotes diversity among children and young people. Working in partnership with Intermon-Oxfam, La Conreria offers a complete programme of discovery, work and awareness activities about other countries and cultures via its numerous facilities and resources. These include three themed rooms which enable visitors to experience life in Chad, Tanzania and Nicaragua, a games room, audiovisual media, fair trade exhibitions and products and a team of educationalists who run the activities.

The Fundació Pere Tarrés also provides schools with additional services such as insurance and coaches to make their stay at La Conreria both easier and more convenient.
