As an entity which organises activities, you are included in the policies signed by the Pere Tarrés Foundation – Holiday Camp Group Service, which insures almost 60,000 children and counsellors at very economical prices.

Volunteer Insurance

Why insure volunteers?
Volunteers are individuals motivated by a spirit of social responsibility who freely commit themselves to carrying out work in the general interest: civic, education, culture, health, social services, the environment.... Volunteers do not receive any economic or material compensation for this work.
When a volunteer action takes place under the auspices of an organising entity, the latter must provide support for individuals that agree to collaborate by motivating them, training them and insuring them against fortuitous events with possible negative consequences: accidents, death and liability claims.
Section 6e paragraph d) of the Spanish Act 6/1996 of January 15 on volunteers (OSG num. 15 of 17/01/97) considers it a volunteer’s right to be offered liability and accident insurance by the organisations with which they are linked. Although compliance with this Act by entities in Catalonia is not compulsory, it is nevertheless a reference point for entities which insure volunteers.
