The Mare Janer de Talarn house is an old rural school in this beautiful municipality of el Pallars, with a breathtaking view of the Terradets reservoir, whence you can see the whole Montsec mountain range. The old house, now totally reformed, was formerly a boarding school and a house for the nuns of the Holy Family of Urgell. Anna Maria Janer, the founder of this congregation, lived from 1880 until her death on 11 January, 1885, and did an excellent job of looking after the students.
