What is Hostelling International?
Hostelling International is the brand name of the not-for-profit organization International Youth Hostel Federation (IYHF) and its members Youth Hostel Associations that guarantee you quality economic accommodation that you can trust.
Who runs the hostels? Who run Pere Tarrés hostel?
Youth hostel can run by publics or private organizations. Pere Tarres
hostel is run by the private organization Pere Tarrés foundation.
Youth hostels are run by the National Youth Hostel Association of each
country. All hostels must adhere to the Assured Standards set by IYHF
which carries out regular inspections.
What kind of rooms have Pere Tarrés Hostel?
Pere Tarrés Hostel have:
Two kinds of double room:
- Double room (bunk)
- Double room with 2 beds separated.
Rooms of 6-8 persons.
Rooms for disabled: 16
All the rooms are spacious and with the bathroom inside.
Do I need to bring my own bedding or my own towels?
The sheets are included in the price.
The towels only are included in double rooms.
You can rent towels (big and small ) for only 2 €.
What kind of facilities offer Pere Tarrés Hostel?
The Hostel offer a lot of facilities, free internet access, laundry, self-catering kitchen, restaurant, parking, rent of towels, tourist information, locker in the rooms, rent of bicycles, tv screen...
Are there rooms for disable?
Yes. The Hostel has 16 handicap beds with bathroom inside.
Can I do my own cooking?
Yes, we have a kitchen for the customers with all the necessary utensils.
Will I have to help with chores?
We only ask to put the sheets in the trolley out of the room when
you leave.
If you use the kitchen leave the utensils clean and in their place.
We only ask to respect the rules and the facilities.
Are the Hostel open all day?
It is open all day, you can enter and go out with your key when you want.
Is there any lockers or baggage rooms where I can leave my possessions?
Yes, there are.
There are trips or activities organized at hostel?
In short time you can book excursions that we will offer here at the reception.
Bookings
Can I book accommodation in advance?
Yes, we always recommend to make the booking in advance because you could not find a place in high season.
How can I make a booking?
Is very easy. Go to our online booking and enter in “books online”. You only have to follow the instructions.
Do I need the Youth Hostel Card? This card offer some discounts?
It is not necessary, but if you don’t have it you have to pay
2 € more per person and night.
The Youth Hostel Card offer you discounts in travels and advantages
in other things.

Do I need to become a member of REAJ or IYHF to make a booking?
It is not necessary. If you want you can make the card directly here, at the reception.
How can I be member of the REAJ or IYHF?
You can go to the Youth Tourist office in Rocafort st 116-122 or you can make the card here at the reception when you arrive.
Is my Youth Hostel Card valid in other countries?
Yes, it is valid in all the world if the hostel is member of IYHF.

No, there is not age limit, you only need to have young spirit.
